For my 3 "space" images, I modeled a small ruin area in the city of Pompeii that I had images of from a visit this past summer. For the "natural light" aspect, I used the sun and a point light to try to mimic the actual light of and textures of the space in the image. In the artificial light image, I focused a point light on the grass to highlight the central aspect of the space. In the hybrid light image, I used a cone light to highlight the columns and to play with shadows.
For my 3 "texture" images, I tried to model a series of stone walls that I also documented in Pompeii. The natural light image is the lightest of the three. I attempted to use the light to make the textures appear as they do in the photo, but was unsuccessful. In the artificial light image I played with moving and toning down the lights a bit, and it came out more successful in actually looking like the picture then the natural light image did. Lastly, in the hybrid light image, I played with adding color to the lights and how that would affect the spaces. I used a red light and really liked how it changed the look of the three spaces.
